Pensacola Opera - Cav/Pag
Cav/Pag, the Opera’s March offering, is a double-bill of Italian verismo opera at its finest. Pietro Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana tells the tale of two hot-blooded men both in love with the same girl. Ruggero Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci follows a small band of travelling players whose performance becomes a real-life crime of dramatic passion. Pensacola Opera is proud to announce tenor Arnold Rawls as the clown, Canio, and the lover, Turridu in these glorious musical melodramas.
Cav/Pag performs at the Saenger Theatre Friday, March 12 and Sunday, March 14, 2010.
Single tickets are $25-$100, $20-$80 as part of a season ticket package. Both season and single tickets are currently on-sale. Call the Opera Center Box Office at (850) 433-6737.
